* After nine months at Horizon, the board eliminated my position, along with the rest of the fundraising staff, due to budget constraints. As a result, I was unable to meet these objectives to my satisfaction.

It was a buzzing, spelltacular night here in Honduras! Our students have been working hard and it was great to see them putting their learning into action with a spelling bee. They definitely proved that literacy is more than just words on the page, but knowledge and skills for life!
The Kenyan Judiciary recently passed a landmark ruling that will protect minors forced to wed according to traditional tribal practices, providing a moment of breakthrough on the road to empowering girls around the world. We can empower girls by celebrating progress and working to ensure a different story for future generations.
April is Child Abuse Awareness Month, and it's crucial to remember that Jeremiah's story is not an isolated case. It's a powerful reminder of the different forms of violence that children may endure. However, we can make a difference in their lives. Jeremiah's journey out of abuse requires continuous support and care, but each step he takes represents his growing empowerment.
